Christopher Bishop

Chris Bishop is a Distinguished Scientist at Microsoft Research Cambridge, and Professor of Computer Science at the University of Edinburgh. He is also a Fellow of Darwin College Cambridge, a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Chris is the author of the influential textbooks ‘Neural Networks for Pattern Recognition’ (Oxford University Press, 1995) which has over 23,000 citations, and ‘Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning’ (Springer, 2006), which has over 16,000 citations.
